Power of Daily Routines Lesson Plan for Lizzy

To best manage our emotions, you need to consistently check in with ourselves about what we're feeling and address it. Just as we create routines with exercise for our physical bodies, we should do the same for our emotional health.

We consider the day ahead. We only have these 24 hours. That is it. We can't change yesterday, tomorrow is always a day away.

So we want to assure right from the beginning that everything we do is directed toward our growth and development with a constant eye on the achievement of our goals

Hard to have a good day if we don't have a good morning, so let us start here

Morning Rituals give lives shape and boost productivity, making a person more disciplined, which leads to success. Here are some reasons why Morning Rituals are essential to achieve a well-balanced life.

  1. Establishing Consistency and Structure: Morning rituals create a consistent start to the day, setting a structured tone. This week consistency fosters discipline and can lead to better daily decision-making and time management.
  2. Let's take tennis for example. We have our warm-up routines. We stretch/run/short courti/rhythm hit then go.  We would never start playing tennis without "warming-up"  Why start our days without a similar warm-up?
  3. As to the tennis. Its not like we would be total spazzes, we would still hit fine without a warm-up. We just know we improve our chances of training and playing our best if we take these simple series of preparations. So let's not treat our mindsets any differently.
  4. Enhancing Focus and Clarity: Engaging in a morning routine helps clear the mind and sharpen focus. It allows time for setting daily goals and priorities, leading to a more organized and purposeful approach to tasks and challenges.
  1. Boosts Productivity: A well-planned morning routine can increase productivity. By starting the day with purposeful mindset, individuals often accomplish more with a clearer mind and energy.
  2.
  3. Cultivating Positive Habits: Morning rituals encourage the development of positive habits. Whether exercise, meditation, journaling, nature walks or planning, these habits contribute to personal  growth.
  4. Improving Mental and Physical Health: Many morning rituals include exercise, meditation, or a healthy breakfast, which  improve physical and mental health. This improvement in overall well-being is a critical factor in long-term success.  ALWAYS BE MAKING GOOD CHOICES!!
  5. Building Resilience and Stress Management: Regular morning routines can help build resilience. By starting the day in a calm, controlled manner, individuals are better prepared to handle stress and unexpected challenges.
  6. Enhancing Creativity and Problem-Solving: For many, the quiet of the morning is a time for creative thinking and problem-solving. Without the distractions of the active/anxious mind you can bring more curiosity and creativity to your activities

  7. Setting a Positive Mindset: Morning rituals set a positive attitude in place for the day. Feeling good already? Keep working on it. If you want to keep feeling the way your feeling, keep doing what you're doing. Positivity is not a destination, its a constant state of being that needs tending to... Remember the AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR. something or someone is always trying to knock you off your path. Engaging in activities that promote a sense of accomplishment and well-being early in the day boosts confidence and optimism.
  8. Encouraging Self-Reflection and Growth: Morning time can be used for self-reflection, allowing individuals to assess their goals, progress, and areas for improvement, which is essential for personal development and success
  9. Creating a Personal Success Ritual: Tailoring a morning routine to individual needs and goals becomes a personal success ritual, reinforcing the connection between daily habits and overall achievement.   Can always tweak it.. Some call it manifesting, superstitions.. whatever they are/do, if they get you in the proper mindset

How to design your morning rituals

A growing body of research offers compelling reasons to consider integrating structured morning rituals into daily life for enhanced productivity and psychological health. Now that we know the research-backed benefits of morning rituals, let’s learn how to craft morning rituals that will lead you to a more successful life.

Designing an effective morning ritual is a personal process that varies based on individual goals, lifestyles, and preferences. Here are some steps to guide you in creating your morning ritual:

  1. Identify Your Goals: Define your goal with your morning ritual. It could be increasing productivity, enhancing mental clarity, improving physical health, or simply having a calm start to the day.
  2. Assess Your Current Morning Routine: Reflect on your current morning habits. What works well? What doesn’t? Understanding your current habits will provide a baseline for making changes.
  3. Choose Activities That Align with Your Goals: Select activities that support your goals. For example, if you aim to boost energy, consider incorporating exercise. If mental clarity is your focus, meditation or journaling might be beneficial.
  4. Start Small and Be Realistic: Implementing too many changes simultaneously can be overwhelming. Start with one or two small changes and gradually build your routine.
  5. Consider Time Constraints: Be realistic about the time you have available in the morning. A successful ritual fits seamlessly into your existing schedule.
  6. Create a Sequence: Order your activities in a natural and enjoyable way. A well-structured sequence can help in forming a habit.
  7. Trial and Adaptation: Test your new routine for a few weeks. Note what works and what doesn’t, and don’t hesitate to make adjustments.
  8. Be Consistent: Consistency is key to establishing any new habit. Try to stick to your ritual as closely as possible.
  9. Evaluate and Refine: Regularly assess your routine. As your life changes, your morning ritual may need to evolve, too.
  10. Enjoy the Process: Remember that your morning ritual should be something you look forward to, not a chore. Make it enjoyable and something that enriches your day.

Work hard at this over the next couple weeks. I will be here to help you craft and tailor the most effective routines for you depending on the demands of the day. For example. Important test, Big tournament, Just another Tuesday etc
